Using the imagery of a cold, fierce and lonely path, we learn that the choices in our life makes life more difficult. Repetition galore.

The Path

The Path
Withered, Beaten, Broken, Hard
The Path
Dark, Terrifying, Lonely, Abstract

The path is hard, it is fierce
Be not afraid, the time is near
And so are your sisters and brothers
The path is too hard to hold together

The Path
Withered, Beaten, Broken, Hard
The Path
Dark, Terrifying, Lonely, Abstract

The walk is long, it is tiring
Can we stop? The Children are crying
We all must weep for those who fall
But please get up, I need you all

The Path
Withered, Beaten, Broken, Hard
The Path
Dark, Terrifying, Lonely, Abstract

The storm is gathering, it is cold
Those who wept, now grow old
But stay, stay on that path
Grab His hand or stumble in Darkness, fall in ash

The Path
Withered, Beaten, Broken, Hard
The Path
Dark, Terrifying, Lonely, Abstract

I like this. Yes there are certainly times when the path is difficult and dark. Good poem.
