The Reflection in the Mirror (The Minotaur Cont'd)

One cloudy afternoon,
I was by the Terrace
(of the Maze)
But soon,
The rain began to fall,

So I got inside,
And I wondered
through the labyrinth,
As always,
Once again,
and for all.

And I came across
this chamber,
I'd never seen it before,

It was located on the west side,
Near the Terrace,
Hidden
Behind a trap door.

Inside, there was this
Beautiful mirror
that completely covered
the back wall.

Its glass was made
of the purest silver you've
ever seen,
And the frame was made
of an ocher-colored
metal alloy.

I walked over and stood before it
and with my heart pounding,
I decided to see myself reflected in it,
and listen to...it's call.

A great horror invaded me,
My suspicions were confirmed,
What I had
always feared most
had come true,
(I began to drawl.)

The minotaur
had finally caught me.

As I stare,
I saw his reflection
in the mirror,

..And he was
Ten feet tall.

However, I am like my
Father... After all.
