Willfully Careless

"Take care," he said. He meant nothing by it. It's simply a meaningless
Thing people say, like "goodbye," or "so long," when somebody is leaving.
I told him I would and was on my way. A few moments later, I thought,
"I won't! Care is what's ruined my last fifty years."  I drove to a park,
Where I spent several hours staring at nothing, at pebbles and grass.
As I did, I was able to sidestep my cares, and I almost was happy again.

Most interesting things happen with less care. It's often, and often not, a good thing. Thanks for the encouragement.
