Music brings back memories. Passion builds and takes control. You could of course turn the other cheek even when the blood is coursing through your veins, but you don't. You give in. Fatal!
REMEMBER BETTE DAVIS EYES?
The beat of the music fills the car
'And she'll tease you' fills his ears
'She'll unease you' fills his heart
Anticipation fills his jellied belly
'All the better just to please you'
Trembling through to his hands.
'She's precocious and she knows just
What it takes to make a pro blush'
Then he sees her standing, waiting,
'She got Greta Garbo standoff sighs...'
He pulls into the layby off the road.
Without a word she gets in the car.
She leans over and kisses him sweet
Knowing it'll knock him off his feet
'She's got Bette Davis eyes'
Oh God! And Bardot's feet and thighs
And Marilyn's voice and hair...
'I want to hold your hand' yeah yeah yeah
'I wanna hold your hand' and he does,
He reaches across and takes her hand,
It is soft and smooth and inviting
Pulls back out into the traffic's flow.
'Lucy's in the sky with diamonds' plays
Music of love and lust is so uniting
He glances down at her gracious legs
And somehow he knows, in his limerance,
That she sure will be his ruination.
'There's a Kind of Hush' inside the car
Her hand gently touched his cheek
Promising 'Strawberry fields for Ever'
They motor on into their clandestine days
As she sings along with another tune
'Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you'.
How could they ever forget?
