Pacific Coast Highway

This road bends round a hill but seems to stretch unto infinity, perhaps eternity. To my left is the sea. My eyes never bother to look to the right, to the trees. No, my eyes are content to stare at the ocean. How the sun light bounces off the waves to create flashes of white no artist could paint. My hands grip on the steering wheel but my soul grows more and more untethered till there’s two of me: one that keeps driving until the bend ends and enters the sandcastles of humanity but the other, brother, chooses to remain, flying, wanting to taste the white flashes of the sea.

I know the road, you caught the magic of it. The power of the Pacific never fails to awe me.
