Crow On A Gravestone
A crow stands on a gravestoneSignaling spirits of past and future size
While I ponder its story bemoaned
It flies away quickly, leaving a shadow
Questions from an inquisition arise
What is the event foreshadowed?
Slow motion memories collide
Searching for a pattern surmised
Nervously hoping I can decide
That darkness is not the answer
While images narrow, summarized
Methodically hoping for no cancer
An image becomes clearer
Sharpening with each picture clarified
just beyond dark light forever
The crows message peels each layer
Spiriting a faded mirage that mesmerizes
While its subject looks for a soothsayer
The image focuses into view
Frame by frame is polarized
Excitement builds predictions previewed
What appears is a white dove
Landing on my shoulder inspires
That I have found my purpose, my love
It shimmers from dark to light
Cooing sounds that materialize
A partner bound to me for life
