Literature is not a garden or a library. Borges was wrong. Literature is not a maze-like garden of infinite return where no matter where you turn you’ll find the books you need when you need them. Literature is not an unending library where the books of power are hidden, somewhere, besides the many other books on horticulture and falconry. No. Literature is a war-torn battlefield where the corpses of dead poets, armed with a lifetime of well-worn and well-wielded weaponry, lay atop each other and you must sneak around and steal whatever you can while the enemy isn’t looking.

I don't have access to the original stuff, so I agree with Mickeko, things seem to be a remix, a recomposition more or less hopeful successful output

Everything is a remix. Those blind to the origin of their creativity tend to be overly protective about it. We're not originals, we are revamps.
