Patchwork Pieces (lyrics)

Intro:
In a life that is lived
Patchwork Pieces of memories
Exist in a quilt derived
With threads of lived anxieties

Chorus:

I touch each scrap
That memories define
While dreaming no handicaps
From a quilted life designed

Verse 1
Some are lovers
Quietly pained careening
From cliffs of Dover
Gracefully preening

Verse 2
Some are dreamers
Who imagine pure beauty
While silent loud screams
Trace scars of loathed piety

Verse: 3
Some are pragmatists
Who live a logical path
While chaotic thoughts persist
Despite mixed sangria carafes

Verse 4
Some keep painful empathy
While holding a serene image
Bagged in a prisoners sympathy
sorting fiction from sacrilege

Verse 5
Some are healers whose touch
Spreads peace while time
Adds waves of oceans from a bluff
Awaiting the sooth sayer sublime

Verse 6
Some are givers whose gifts
Failed to fit past style
But are found by sifters
Through lines of lived guile

Bridge
Some are defined by a mixture
Sustained by patched pieces
Lived at different epochs
While feeling desired beliefs
