SUMMER BY ANN WOOD

Summer has come, and with it the end of the school year.
The beaches are full of tourists and children's noise.
Children are playing on the seashore and building sandcastles.
Fishermen have set nets and are waiting to catch fish, crabs and squid.
The sea is azure clear and small waves splash its waters.
Lonely seagulls circle above the sea and are waiting for some prey because they are hungry.
The waves of the sea are women who have escaped the heavy grip of life.
Come, you too, a wave, rise up and merge with eternity.
I love you, azure blue sea, and I will always love you, my beloved sea.
I love summer, you bring us happiness and joy.

Nice write, Ann.
I like how you incorporated towards the end the popular metaphor of women as waves and men as the shoreline within this very literal and evocative description observed through your eyes. While I prefer a quieter setting now days, settings such as these are very good for socializing, where friends and family fun can be more engaging. In the USA, there are plenty of places like this. People gravitate to it so much that at certain times, it is hell on traffic coming and going. I go to those places off season.
I enjoyed reading. Thank you.
