I detest the parents of child celebrities.

Childhood for sale

You can’t remember what,
you want anymore
“Keep your mouth shut”
A little love is all she asks for

Dressed up like a doll
not your mother but your boss
she won’t care if you bawl
she’ll just add more lip gloss

Put her on an extra diet
look down and just keep quiet
take another acting class
incredibly tired but alas

Foundation, concealer and powder
the crowd only gets louder
You know the consequence of perfection
is constant inspection

fulfilling another’s dream
is not as easy as it may seem.

You write your lines so well, they flow naturally, the rhymes unforced—yet the tone of the poem is very forceful. It's a good combination: form and content compliment each other.

It is a strange cultural phenomena, celebrity children and their parents. I hope some of those children are doing it because they choose to do it. One can hope.
