Criticism is always welcome! Feel free to take a break from the problems of life, it's why I write.

Fall

The trees all shed their skin
Their beauty lost, a great sin
Each leaf had a different story to tell
Yet in the end they all inevitably fell

Brown, dead leaves litter the floor.
A cold gust of wind greets me as I walk out the door
The balmy autumn sun, an apology for this rot
Yet this decay is more beautiful than i thought.

Owls hunt for mice and farmers harvest their produce
Squirrels forage their nuts and hide them in spruce
Other animals like swallows and swifts flee
As long as their flight makes them feel free.

Sometimes you just need a frisk breath
Instead of thinking about ruin and death
Just take a walk outside,
Shed your leaves, dance with pride

I, the poet? I will make myself some tea
And wait for autumn with utmost glee.

You describe it so well. I looked up "frisk breath" and found out it is a mint. Yes, we all need to take a detailed look at nature outside instead of staring at the troubles on our little screens.
