It's all about the little things, I hope I taught you a bit about the different types of petals, my grandma loves flower petals!

A petal's farewell

Petals fall from the tree
Under which I rest
And as petals fall upon my chest
The petals’ light touch make me feel free

Flowers like the funnelform
Blooming from the ground
Make my heart feel so warm
The blue flowers’ petals perfectly round

Fallen flowers make a colourful floor
Red like crimson or white like snow
Colouring the lands, a beautiful spore
Illuminating my life with a soothing glow

The wind intensifies
The stellates fly away
To another fate, and i pray
That the wind carries them to the skies

All shapes, special in my heart
But I know it was time to depart
Yet my nose still smells their fragrant scent
Beautiful petals all came and went

Perfect in both form and content. The scene comes to life and shouts out: Pay attention! I appreciate the use of the senses, sight, smell, touch. Lovely ode to petals and their glory.

The line 'The petals' light touch make me feel free' is lovely. You've made falling feel like release, not loss.

Really enjoyed your lovely poem. Presently, the hot pink flowers from my crepe myrtles are falling to the ground, beautiful both on the tree and on the ground.

Your really lovely poem led me to think like everything in creation, they - the petals - have their time to blossom and transmogrify. We should remember the beauty of the process, the order that, "The apple blossom exists to create fruit; when that comes, the petal falls." — (Kabir) Blessings, Allen

We never really think of flower petals leaving. They are there and they are gone. I enjoyed this.
