Sad Figure

Bananas pirouette in a bowl
Chairs all standing firm
Windows look outward now
Promise never to return
Hearthrug warmly breathing
Shadows walk the hall
Raindrops fall not believing
Winter can engulf it all
A sigh, a breath, a spray of mist
A nose so cold to touch
A sad figure left contemplates
Forever way too much

Oh, The Knight of the Woeful Countenance. I loved that reference. Who is the figure? I am not sure. It could be me or it could be you. My unexceptional work does not stand up well to such scrutiny. Or does it? - Dave

please explain me why this poem is supposed to be sad and, who's speaking in the poem ?
you made me think of the knight of the sad figure written by Cervantes
