I’m in First Grade Now – Anne WoodI’m in first grade now, and I’ll learn to read and write in class.
Today the first school bell rang, and the school opened its doors.
Today the teacher welcomed us with a smile and handed out textbooks and supplies; the days of carefree childhood games are over now.
I’m in first grade now, and I must listen and pay close attention in class.
Kindergarten and the carefree summer have ended, and the new school year has begun.
I’m in first grade now; I must attend class and gather knowledge and skills so I can grow up smart and be the pride of Mom and Dad, my grandmothers, my aunt and uncle, and my older sister and brother.
