Life Tumbles and Rolls
Life tumbles and rollsAlong busy streets in early hours
From the steam of morning coffee shops
Giving workers their much needed super powers
Comes to life on screens
In messages from across the city
It fixes its sleeper’s hair rather hurriedly
And puts quick make up on to feel passably pretty
Rifles in cluttered bags
For bottled water and pass keys
Walks along corridors of blinking lights
And sees the desktop dust that the movement frees
Life tumbles and rolls
It is not elegant or precise in form
Only driven by the monotony of tedium
It stupefies and automates all with this lack of gorm
