Lap Of The Milky Way

The stars shone like strings of velvet pearls

Draped around purring cats in the lap of the Milky Way

Blinding looks of blank surmise coating crowds of mortal eyes

On Earth mortal things never escape

A dark magnetic orbiting dance hypnotic as may

Be that which was and is and also light that never dies

Falls upon an alien landscape

Chasing sound counting stats

Draped around purring cats

Take a nap dreaming of the day

In the lap of The Milky Way
