Footsteps in the rain

The thing I remember
Was late December
When I went out to see
Where you were set free
Six strong men carried you
And then they buried you
I sat there while you die
Didn't let out a single cry
When I reached your burial site
There was something that came over me like a little fright
There were 6 little footsteps on the ground
It was astonishing what I found
The hair clip you would wear
With little tiny bits of hair
Then I remember one more thing that changed a lot
I sat there and thought
I remember this day clear
December 30th of last year
It was raining and you wanted to see
If you could dance in the rain with me

Silene
This is a poem containing bittersweet memories. So beautiful and touching.
Words of mother-of-pearl....shining and fragile.
Very lovely written!
