Captured a third of life.

A Calm Haze Vial

A gun is used with the best intentions
Out emits a smoke too hot
That to the touch, it's freezing cold
Enhale such a toxin
Count your final prayers
As you're running out of time
And the things you need for such
And breaths are trading secrets
Ever more, yes ever more

And though the clouds are raining
What they cry, I could not tell
And from the ground their leaks
A steam
Birthed from surfaces so chilled
The warmth that comes below
The mating act stays out of sight
For fear of loosing secrets
Ever more, yes ever more

A man who never knew the road
But sits in an arm chair, and drools all day
Stares innocent at blazing light
Clinging to what's left of his home
A shadow speeds with burning hands
And smoke comes from his evil grin
At such a terror he comits
The choking of his secrets
Ever more, oh ever more

Yet somewhere in the distance
You can't see, the rain's too heavy
Stands a healthy couple who are to become
a single being
And from his shaking lips
half with coldness, half is nervous
The subtle steam comes from his lung
And reaches her, and then she smiles
A ring that glows with styles
Fits upon her little finger
Not for long will it be secret
Ever more, yes ever more

Kathy Lockhart
Life continues even in death. First words that come to my mind after reading this poignant piece.
