There was once long ago something that I can't remember

The bullet lazily penetrates the cerebral wasteland
Out of the corner of your eye
A shadow flees shaped like a hooded man.
Between the blink of your eyes
A woman throws a psychic arrow
It penetrates your luminosity.
And a cocoon collapses around you
Tendrils of light waves scintillate
Through your bio-electric field.

An echo from a distant lost history
Reverberates ricocheting against ancient structures
There is a thought forming in your head
It lingers for awhile awaiting, full of potential
But your brain is fixated on a permanent distraction
And you miss the opportunity to escape your death
