Once Again and Forever No More

Your lover's eyes turn toward you
You see the stars in his eyes
Your lover's hand gently caresses you
Your body twists and turns
Your lover's mind connects
The ecstasy and the death
Your hearts beat as one

And yet there is a place where no one can go
Where your soul aches with the pain of separation
Tonight we can be as one
Wipe your tears away
Let the waves of the pleasure engulf you
Let the joyous pain invade you

And when your soul testifies in the name of love
And your mind resists the betrayal of your heart
Then you will awake from your pleasure soaked slumber
To see your lover depart

His body sways immersed in the vapors of your love
As he turns briefly to gaze at you once more
Then he smiles once again and forever no more
Out of your life and through your open door

Peculear poem this...never can look at love this way...Or write about it...I GUESS THAT IS THE HARSH REALITY OF THOSE ONE-NIGHT-STANDS, I never could understand...how people do it?...may be too much idealism...!
"His body sways immersed in the vapors of your love
As he turns briefly to gaze at you once more
Then he smiles once again and forever no more
Out of your life and through your open door"
This grips me, such a sad feeling it evokes in me...even a *sigh* escapes my lips...
..................................!
excellent write!... still under the effct of it!..
shall remain for a while...
Thanks Fire Hawk for sharing this...
(((((hugs))))

Bob
You caught my attention here, balancing on edge of the trite and deeply human.
