Why Are You Here?

Why are you here?
I thought you were dead!
You stirred up my fear,
emotions blood-red.

Don't come this direction!
I haven't got the guts,
to face up to the friction
of yesterdays riots.

Please don't make me tell,
whatever I might feel.
It would be like hell,
an expression so real.

I need you to be dead, my dear.
I need to forget the past.
The ghost I see within this tear
only makes my memories last.

Oh, is that why you're here?!
To leave me alone.
To massacre my fear.
To pay off the loan.

Well then, thank you my friend!
Would you like to stay for just a while?
Couldn't we just pretend,
that you are still alive!

liz munro The PoetBay support member heart!
The last line of the second stanza
kind of throws the flow of this as it
doesn't rhyme like the other stanza's
which make it a bit confusing for me
to figure out what you're trying to say...

..which means I have to bookmark it
for more reading LOL :-)
