My beloved tortoise Morris died on dec. 29th 2006.

Always loved! Never forgotten!

THE ETERNAL SLEEP

You lie so still beneath the sun.
The clock is silence, no ticking.
You'll always be a special one.
Protected from the harm of aging.

I'll cover your body with leaves,
and dirt from which you are sprung.
My cravings are aching with grief,
since you left at an age so young.

Sleep, my friend, for as long as you wish!
Your heart is beating no more.
Sleep, my friend, don't be afraid to vanish!
I'll keep your remembrance secure.

A beautiful tribute to Morris.

I know what it is like to lose a pet -
they become more then a pet, they
become a part of you.

I am sorry for your loss.

Liz
