Thunderstorm

it is a dark world,
as the outside is swirled,
with only temporary flashes of light,
to chase away the dark of night,
my tears fall like the rain,
fast and heavy, reflecting my pain,
the surrounding flashes of lightning,
draws in closer, getting frightening,
the crash and bang of thunder,
covers my screams, so i scream louder.
