The Weary Traveler

In the sunlit prisons of your mind
Lies a slumbering demon
One that has been for eons
Lying in wait
Seething with hesitant anticipation
Awaiting a miscalculation
In your logic machine

Your fall is but a footstep away
And the falling is eternal

The discordant waveforms of an imprisoned infinity
Gives way to the hollow glare of the immediate vicinity

Is there a secret deep within the most hidden?
Can it be that we are part of an ancient mystery?
Or are you really just merely going mad

Is my eXistenZ
A temporary insanity
A haunting genetic echo
Of a lost heritage
Whose legacy still slowly unfolds

I have a gnawing doubt that lies
In the back of my mind
That a dream has just begun
And these dreams belong to another one

Still and forever more
There is a knock knocking on my door
The wind just blew my mind away
And a jackdaw just flew off with an ashtray

I will be here and there again today
So let me shake your hand
There where you stand
While the globules land
Here right in my hand

This certainly rattled the grey matter, a real boost to the system.
