I wrote in a country ballad style. I've never done it before, and it's always nice to mix things up.

Jimmy Crane and the Scotch Hoppers

Every mom and dad around
Protect their daughters from the sound of
Jimmy Crane and his Scotch Hopping band
Crowned the coolest cats alive
For rapid taps and swinging jive
Is Jimmy Crane and his Scotch Hopping band
Marls, Kansas, born and raised
Played James' guitar when the cattle grazed
He's Jimmy Crane, the one you know and love
Johny Bucks and Seth Tree-McCrew
His buddy boys he met in school
By the river pool, played music from above

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Crane
He took too much and went insane
The Scotch Hop Hoppers Hopped and missed again
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, Run
The manager's pulled out his gun
Get your boys and hit the nearest train

When the moonlight shows the way
Jim, take your guitar and play
Jimmy Crane and his Scotch Hopping band
Maybe, James, you'll make it big
And settle down, and raise a pig
But until then, you'll have to make your stand

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Crane
He took too much and went insane
The Scotch Hop Hoppers Hopped and missed again
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, Run
The manager's pulled out his gun
Get your boys and hit the nearest train

One fateful day, when in the muck
Jimmy plum ran out of luck
Jimmy Crane and his Scotch Hopping band
They tried to charge a girl named Red
But got a crossroads grave instead
Jimmy Crane and his Scotch Hopping Band
