Inspired by Simon's reclusive place in "Lord of the Flies."

Domain

Deep inside the jungle
Where the panther and the monkey play
There lies a bowl of sunshine
Bathed in mystery and whispers by day

Sometime, in early August
You can find this place with effort and time
For feet can kick the dust
To guide your way to-fro just fine

Do not touch the trunks or glistening streams
Do not grab or crush the beehives
Do not shade away from sungold dreams
Do not fret about your lives

Just imagine you, in Summer
But the cold is quickening on the hill
With hooves of frost, it pummels
Steady racing for the thrill

You however, have protection
Stay awake inside your sunshine bowl
Never loose your sweet affection
Let it burst inside your soul

this is fantastic! it flows beautifully with image-filled metaphors and the rhythm and rhyme patterns are perfect. bookmarked
