What I've learnt in the past year (GOOD BYE MY FRIEND)

I've learnt in the past year
my responsibility is for my Lady
and my little man
and to let anything come between
that is silly I now understand

Yet you are my friend and my
love for you is very deep
to the points where our
souls touch and our
hearts meet

You have moved onto a life
that you more than deserve
to the point that Will I love you
now are nothing but mere words

My love for you has not diminished
but my priorities are where they
should be
but as I've always said I will
be there if you should ever need me

Your happiness demands that
you say to me Good Bye
and my heart understands even
though my soul continues to
cry

I wish for you all the happiness
and love you seek
until the next lifetime
when our souls meet

It destroys my heart to say
this is where our friendship ends
but it does my heart good to
say this is where your happiness
& true love begins..
