A shot in the Dark

A table, a seat
A chair, just for me
Oustide Austin
Two A.M.
The cars drive by
I sit and see
The leaves are green
I cry, tonight
She sat right by
I inked my paper
She studied her lecture
She was enchanting
Silient and sweet
I was hesitent
I think she wanted to meet
But I'll never know
A story untold
A story it could be
A story of her
A story of me
Never to be
Written in pages
We could have lived
For ages and ages
So, I sit outside
Because I can
On this night
In Austin land

F.i.in.e Moods The PoetBay support member heart!
sorrow and emptiness... it weighs down heavy when they come for a visit... your poem makes me think of a very lonely moment where perhaps a love has gone away... the way its expressed is effective... it felt like i was there... nicely done... thanks for sharing :)

later...xx
