I wish trampolines were safer ramps
for altruism. Puritans stroll the alamedas
that I used to stride along,
insulated in candyfloss and confetti.

A token requiem for billboards
that make no allusions to
the altostratus I'm trying to outrun,
frigid breath from kissed lips.
