In The River

I am standing in the river
Let the water cool me down
I am standing in the river
Shake my bones and bring me down

I am kneeling in the river
Drench my arms in mother's dew
I am kneeling in the river
Have my soul rebirth anew

I am sitting in the river
Getting stronger, getting weak
I am sitting in the river
Stiller than the falcon's beak

I am laying in the river
Yet my breath I keep and sigh
I am laying in the river
Join the rapids, let me fly

I am standing in the heavens
Where the river carried me
I am falling up the mountains
Close my eyes and set me free

I agree with the comments down below.
The rythm makes it a breeze to read,
focusing on the meaning rather than
on stumbling through complicated wordstructures.

The last stanza makes
a Mighty powerful ending!

This is beautiful and lyrical, to me it had a gospel feel to it.

Exellent imagery. i think many people find water relaxing.
in fact, i do my best thinking in the shower, oddly enough.

*wish i was in a river..
