The Memory of a Warm Embrace

Just the thought of a warm embrace
Can bring back the warmth of a summer day
The fragrance of the Water Lilly
The scent of your sweet breath
The memory of bygone days...

When you and I were in love
One, in the togetherness of devotion
Oblivious of the world around us
Ecstatic in the joy of commitment
Amalgamated in to one wholeness
When the life was full of enchantment…

Just the thought of your warm embrace
Takes the loneliness off my days
Transports me into another world
Full of flowers, devoid of dust
Where the desert sand of my life
Cannot penetrate; does not blur
The pristine images of my soul
And the purity of my trust…

Just the thought of you my love…

A favorite Shakespeare sonnet of mine ends (if memory serves), "But thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings / That then I scorn to change my state with kings." Nice write on a great theme!
