I wrote this on the 22nd December 2008, shortly after a split with my boyfriend at the time. This poem basically shows my emotions about the split.
Bleeding on the shore,
Like others have done before?
You, the one i could trust,
Who opened my chest,
Gave me pain, and left me to rest.
You, to whom i surrendered myself,
I let down my wall,
And you watched my fall.
You, the one who was the twinkle in my eyes,
And the glow on my face,
You were the one to let me go to waste.
You were the one who left me,
Bleeding on the shore,
But i picked myself up once more.
I healed my wounds,
And let you pass
Now I'm free of you at last.
