A poem about how i think older people view the teenage population.

Ignorance Is Bliss

Chav, Emo, Grebo, Goth,
Scene, Indie, Nerdy, Toff.
What are we but labels,
And teenagers with ASBO's?

You see the make-up
And the way we dress up
But this you can't see behind
You don't delve into the teenage mind.

Ignorance in bliss you say
Things shouldn't stay that way
Take a moment to look at me
Is violence really what you see?

We aren't as imposing as we may look
But someone pulls that little hook
And you go another way to find
A way to leave us far behind.
