My soulmate, most chimerical, distracts my reality,
What is love, but a belief of the heart?
A simple affection and connection to one's spirit,
Contrary emotions from a lack of response,
I wait in the pillory of the shadows
There is stability in the silence, perhaps it is peace,
As the sun brightens the dawn, an aubade takes place
The shadows creep into my heart and snatch my soul
And leave my mind to do its bidding

Cognitive dissonance corrects and controls my memories,My soulmate, most chimerical, distracts my reality,
What is love, but a belief of the heart?
