Today

Fruit on the loom, blooming
My worn out knees go numb as I witness the beauty booming
The wind soothing with a scent of strawberries proving
That the world is steady moving
I'm tired of peering through periscopes, whatever waits around the corner my own eyes will suffice, on the rise rising unwired
I want to be a lion, screaming sunshine on the world, sinking into simplicity creating sim cities of light with every word

I bet that when God made this place and time, he put it aside for a while
and ironed out his ancient pavement wrinkles with a smile
He hid a little bit of sun, just an inkling twinkling behind every cloud passing by
And today I see his greatness, today I see nothing but a world of fates blessed
I fall into silence, my mind lifting and balooning, as the sun hits the sea
Him and me listen to the drifting moon sing
A soothing gloomwing proving that this poetry keeps moving

And I wish for nothing more than you're breath meeting mine
The monumentality of it all falls, leaving only chills down my spine
As it joins the waves and rolls out into the sublime
Today love is spotless, today life is not a crime
And I absorb

at first this poem struggles for voice...but by the end you were on a steady course of direction..
The last 2 lines were the best of the poem I thought...original and honest..well done
