This is a poem competition contribution where I had a few words to use in order to make a sensible poem.

I Am

I am a criminal of the mind
Purple eyed, vacant blind
A travesty of a cliché kind

I am a grandiose subject
With shattered prospect
Pulsating with a delicate aspect

I tremble in glittering light
Exalted in cellophane fright
Not subjugate, filled by August might

I asphyxiate when bound
Haven in musical sound
An aestival avenue around

I have an enigmatic whim
A thought spontaneous as dim
That if I ever could safely swim

I am a house filled by sulfur ash
I with poisonous radium smash
By old vine and timber crash
