i just came up with off the top of my head, so i don't know how good it really is. I just all of a sudden felt this way.


Is this who i seek?

I stand looking in the mirror
will this bring me nearer?
Nearer to the person I seek.
The person I was meant to be?
The eyelined, eyes and brushed on cheeks
is this who I am down deep inside?
Am I the girl with the painted face,
a painted soul?
Is this who I seek?
No, I seek someone else,
someone who isn't afraid to face the world.
Someone who doesn't need a made up face
to make it through the day.
A girl who is all natural,
a girl who is secure in the knowledge of who she is.
That is who I seek.
That girl is there waiting to show,
now I have to let her grow.

This is one of the beautiful show,
Of how when a girl begins to frow,
She realises the value of her real self,
She questions the herd mentality of yore,
Which friends, peer pressures, made her
Take up, but now she knows, this is not
Her true self, not her true lure, she is a Deeper person, who is ready to face the
Big, wide world on her own!
