My Sonnet 116

"Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:"

If this be not love
then what is love?
love is what you make it
it is forever moving
forever changing

love relies on both
and when one chooses it no longer is
then it no longer is
but it does not mean that
it wasn't once was.

love is still within me
though no longer in him
he bent and broke it
but my part remains
never altering
never bending

love does not bend
to be removed
like an arrow stuck inside
one end may be broken
put the point remains untouched

John Ashleigh
Love hurts everyone, and everyone hurts love. I think you've dug deep into the core of many relationship problems. Yet is sings with a little beauty.

And with your words comes true beauty.

The last two stanzas are stunning (and very original). Also very true.
