In Kenya, you need to be wary of telling the truth. If you do,they send armed, masked policemen to burn your newspaper and switch off your transmission signal. They then warn you not to rattle snakes..lest you get bitten. This is the subject of my poem.

Beware not to tell the truth!

beware not to tell the truth,
or they'll come and shut you down.
with their big black cars,
carrying guns as if they are heading to war,
masked faces as though it is a top secret mission.
they will not comment, they will pass the buck,
urging us not to rattle the snake..for if we do,
we shall get bitten.........
they will issue ridiculous statements denying their involvement.
but we will know its them,we shall not keep quiet about it.
they will come down hard on us..but we shall not be cowed,
for we know that they have got something to hide.......
the only advice for all my brethren...
beware not to tell the truth

I read your poem and i must say that i think theres a lot more to the situation than you express. the media aren't innocent either you know!! Its unrealistic to expect the government to do nothing though i think what they did was too drastic.
