living through the fires of life brings changes and opportunities for growth and wisdom.

There's Fire in the Hole

Growing , gaining, sometimes retaining wisdom
through guessing, missing, and messing
investing heart and soul.

Much of it leaves a hole
that needs planting.

All the while, I'll keep on going; towing my plight
It's worth the fight...carrying it up my mountain's side
Sometimes I hide
in the crevices

when they're there
wondering, wandering, and

waiting.

Participating in Life's challenges changes,
rearranges thoughts through purification.
Pirating my own stash
the leaving of a gash where I used to be.
Disassembling of what once was me; a

mirror image of mirror images
now broken, a token of sin.

Now is the time to begin, again

and again;

fitting the refined shapes until a new scape
is formed from inside the storm of fire.
Hot and burning with fury, immersed in curry
leaving me molten and shapeless, and spiced.

The price of becoming ready...

Ready to be made whole.

Ready to know.
Ready to look and see

this new puzzle;
the picture of me.

This is just brilliant! Keep those creative juices flowing. They are so much of the real you and are like medicine for your soul.

An inspirational piece and I adore curry! It sonds as though you have turned a corner in life, but there is sadness in your final line, the price you have paid.

This talent we have to reinvent and rearrange ourselves to deal with our surroundings is an amazing gift. Inner renewal!! That's the key....and Spring always helps :-)
Very uplifting poem Kathy.
