Music:
-Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber
-Giuliano Carmignola playing Vivaldi's Concerto no 2 in G minor, Op 8, RV 315

Adagio

Long, thin lines of beautiful strokes
from the violin

light, yet so deep and mind-wrenching

He plays every tune with his soul

I am lost
between every note

This music

taking me

somewhere I did not know

As it should be, the journey both in its invitation and undertaking is always what music offers, the virtuoso's gift is not the talent but the shared communality of the experience of making and hearing of music, else it would be just another banal human sound.
