love you mom dad

our parents little butterflies...

Little Butterflies...

Through hard times
They planted love inside us
We, the little butterflies
Learning to fly

Until the spring comes,
Our mothers paint our wings colorful
Our fathers teach us to survive
We, little butterflies
Full with passion and excitement
Ready to spread our wings

The first rays of sun comes across our window
Our parents check if we are ready to swing
With a dream of seeing a new world outside
To meet new friends
To play in beautiful gardens
To learn the lessons of life

We, little butterflies
Fly away with a promise in our heart
Dad, mom don't worry
We will be back before the sun sets in grey

A very sweet and loving paean . . . my own parents long gone but I still feel no less than you do.
