Two days
Your lonely nightsduring my eventful days
My dark nights
your cold afternoons
My heart wants to reach out
but cannot find you in my memories
- eroded by overuse, feeling as fake as my dreams
It barely finds you in your face
that I cannot reach out and just touch
I want to forget my rules
designed to keep us both safe
to make sure we do this right
In my longing
for just another kiss
To know that those fiery lips
those loving eyes
were truly looking at me
and not just another of my many masks
