This is a third poem in my Paladin series it attempts to convey the emotion of a knight saying farewell to his chosen lady hope it works.

Just one last kiss
A longed for enchantment
A treasure to keep in my heart
For I go from this place
To a region of strife
To the war in Acheron
To the Hinterland

And there
I will find no love
No sunshine
No life
And if in years to come
You hear that I have changed
Fear not for my love

When all around you say
That it has died
Remember me
For this last kiss
This last goodbye
Have faith
This love will never die
