expectation
expectations of society,just too much for me to deal with,
they say i should live my life this way,
want me to have this type of girlfriend,
they need me to hang out at exclusive clubs,
when i refuse they are full of abuse.
i am my own person,
i will not pander to your whims,
i really dont care whether or not you like me,
mind your business,i have been minding mine,
i have my own expectations,
it would be better if you had your own.
oh! the world would be so much better
if we focused on the serious issues.
the things that people pay attention to
bring embarassment to a child of two.
imagine a grown man talking about his conquest,
a grown woman dismissing the love lorn man as a joke.
i accept that we all need to make small talk,
but i wont entertain your discussing personalities,
you say the he has got to change,
did you ever take a look at yourself before you spoke?
