Retrospect
looking back on my lifethe things I did
the words I said
the people I hurt
these thoughts bring tears to my eyes
if I could
I would turn back time
undo my actions
take back my words
but I cant undo whats already been done
I am weighed down
by regret
sorrow
uncertainity
for how long shall this go on?
time has flown
I am still caught in this time warp
I need to snap out of this
but how can I?
the past is weighing me down
a singing bird chirped its melody to me
urged me to let go of the past
told me to only use it as a reference point
a reference to help turn my life around
and guess what, that is exactly what I shall do
today I woke up
took a long hard look at myself
experience they say..is the best teacher
it takes looking at the past to build a better future
isn't it funny...what we learn from retrospect?
