Don't let it happen

Take a second look

When intuition is butchered by advice -
So will the essence of emotion, and what is left,
will only be fabricated feelings.
Too many defense mechanisms
will soon shape the core purpose of any life,
into a robotic reflex.

When intuition is butchered by advice

made me think that advices are mountains build of disillusioned intuitions

'The usual' is what that kills love, ambitions, egotistical endeavours and insecurity bred from past failures.
Lovely write!

Yep, we close down, become defensive, to protect ourselves and before we know we are just robots.
