Brucie

Such a sweet and wonderful
Blessing for your Brucie.

All kitties are precious,
Just like you and your beautiful
Wife.

Brucie will live
A full season of miracles,
For eternity in your heart.

THERE ARE THOSE WE MEET!

2017-10-25
Bravo, Dear Ken. Friends are a reflection of ourselves. They can be those that are so loved, and yet we can also have 'friends' whom we might detest.

Any friend of ours helps to shift the years into overdrive. Thank you for this sweet and wondrous clip of life. J

WHEN A FREIEND APPEARS TO BE GONE!

2017-08-23
So much wisdom, and heart-ache. Friends keep their 'friends' inside their soul, Ken. You are such a warming soul. We love you, dear friend.

behind closeted doors

2016-11-11
Such a symphony that determines the mind of man, music, and reality spun bits. Nothing needed, nothing shattered. Lift and share these words quietly, gently, and forever.

all souls

2016-10-18
So very true to those of us have spent a part of our lives in a hospital environment.

Your poetry is so amazing and so beautiful. Please keep writing, dear poetess. We all need words like yours to keep our days focused on life and our targeted future memories.

Thank you

perhaps tomorrow

2016-10-17
perhaps, your tomorrow might be filled with kindness,
with wonderment, and with a soft sunrise to melt your heart.
perhaps you soul is resting easily at the top of a winters
down.

always cross the wind with your face burning in it's wake;
and let your tomorrows be guided by the child in your soul.

THE SECRET LIBRARY!

2016-08-11
Amazing! Our county's library is a quick 10 minute walk away, and my yearning for knowledge and poetry and loving worlds herald my visit there each time.

Wonderful read Ken...

AS TIME PASSES BYE! (a work in progres time to time)

2016-07-16

2016-07-16
A decade ago, so many friends on this site kept my soul and heart beating in sweet harmony. Thank all of you. J

Spare Change and the Blues

2016-06-30
Kathy, my mom took me to New Orleans when I was a kid. She introduced me to 'Blues' music and to the wonderful world of seafood. I love all those Cajun dishes, especially raw oysters and crayfish. :)

TWO GREAT MEN! (completed)

2016-06-11
Wonderful tale, Ken. Thank you for letting our world share in your history.

Creation's Time To Play

2016-05-30
Such fun! My neighbor found 8 little bunnies in her yard shed. How wonderful!

In every night,
thoughts awaken spirits
and dreams and lust.

Nobody will ever enjoy
life without you.
Life just goes on.

MAYBE TIME!

2016-05-26
Too many ashes cover our planet. Your brilliant words keep life glowing, and comfort our souls. Thank you Ken...

NOT WHAT YOU TAKE!

2016-05-21
Ken, I'm just passing thru. It's great to see you posting your amazing words. J

TO THINK - TO TALK!

2016-02-25
This is one of the most honest of poems. Ken, I believe your heart will always find a way to 'cheer' us during the cold and frigid northern winters. Thank you, sir.

MORE IN LESS

2015-12-09
So true, Ken. It's the same with people who talk too much. They go on and on and on and on, and there comes a time when you just want to sew their lips with thick thread! lol... Keep writing for us. You are an amazing poet!!

THE NIGHT

2015-11-30
Ken,
The "mind full of thoughts" also keeps me awake and wondering if the moaning of the night-time winds will ever cease.

Brilliant, my friend.

beneath these wings

2015-11-09
Well written, and I especially love the last verse:

If you chance upon a cloudless day
catch their echo of jubilant cries
and contemplate your turn to fly.

don't wake the dream

2015-10-05
This is beautiful and sad. The future lives forever, and the past cries while the moon fades into the dawn.

Awesome words!

and like the spring

2015-08-24
I have to thank you for such beautiful words and thoughts over these past 10-15 years. The daffodils of spring await the cooling Autumn, to deepen their roots' anchor into the cold earth. The snow will fly early this year. My soul pleads for another summer of life. My heart cries for new days to open, knowing that nights could be so dark, cold, and far too quiet.

SUDDEN DEATH

2015-08-19
Oh, dear Ken,
Death seems to push it's way
Into our lives,
Even when we forget the day,
Or month, or year,
Death creeps into
The deepest part of the soul
That we hide, and cherish.

I hear your heart aching,
And I cried when I read
Your words tonight.

May peace find your sleep,
And may your tomorrow's
Be gentle on your soul...

windswept smiles

2015-06-17
What a delicious taste of a blessed day. Awesome!

even they miss your touch

2015-05-21
This is beautiful. Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

MALALA YOUSAFZAI - ARMED AND DANGEROUS!

2015-04-26
Malala is our future. This bright activist keeps hope alive, and shelters the meek as well as the strong of our planet.

Wonderful write, sir.

and I try to be brave

2015-04-13
Such a beautiful whisper towards heaven and earth.

ROSAS BLANCAS!

2015-04-13
I am all smiles as I read this. Beautiful idea, and sweet words to champion a surprise for those two... BRAVO!

flightless words

2015-01-25
I do pray that your heart has healed, and that your sweet wife keeps your soul nestled within her curios emotions. Ah... a new dawn happens every day or so.

THE TREEE LAYS WHEAR IT FELL (EKPHRASTIC CHALINGE)

2015-01-25
Awesome read Ken. Keep writing, my dear friend.

summertime drift

2015-01-23
Ribald lives within all of us;
and yet, he finds little to divulge
Until a morning keeps us warm....
His soul is mine,

And my soul is his.

NOT BEING A PUBLISHED WRITER

2014-06-17
To be as free as the snow,
Or the bird that flies in the dark,
Is to write as you wish,
Nor boundaries in a squish!

Awesome Ken,
and, so very true!

WHILE TENDING MY SISTERS GRAVE

2013-06-25
Ken, this is one of the most amazing accounts of life and reality that I have ever read. Telling that old man about your 'part Irish' heritage, indeed set the mood for his leaving you with your thoughts, at your sisters grave. Bravo to you, and to your poem.

THE DIE IS CAST

2013-06-12
Ken, you are a prophet who understands the unique perspective of human rights. This poem is, sadly, so very true and wonderfully written.

Thank you for sharing this...

IT IS BETTER TO GIVE

2013-03-16
So thought processing, and so true.

Giving of one's own heart and hands to others, is truly a blessing.

Thank you for such a wonderful work.. :D

AN AMERICAN PHRASE

2013-02-25
"We the citizens of this world

Banded together , combine our skills

We could yet save our world"

We the citizens have to do this together, as you mention. Little by little we could save our world. That is the only way our world will remain habitable for generations of breathing species.

Great write, sir.
