Everyone keeps writing
about how it's full of pain and strife.
But they who write that
all day, every night,
have never fully lived,
they've given up the fight.
For life to treat you
with kindness and care,
you have to risk it,
be willing to dare.
People who write
about how life treats them bad,
only think they've been duped.
Only think they've been had.
They compare themselves to others
who happen to have more.
Some lack the basics,
lack love as the core.
They base their views
on nothing but hate.
They have no love
but maybe that's their fate.
