Place Like Fall
Only thought such things could never be
Only hoped you were a living light
There was no one there to answer me
Only years of rain and the night
Spoke in voices that answers never heard
Waves kept washing tears away before
Terrible promises without a word
Much too painful to hear anymore
Still an image that simply will not lie
Down a corridor at the end of it all
Where tired dreams may hang their heads and die
To sleep forever in a place like the fall
